Expectations for Senior Programmers:

Programming experience of more than 4 years with at least 3 years experience in financial markets or related areas.
Knowledge of Products like - Derivatives (Futures and Options) will be an adavntage but not compulsory

Expectations for Trader Cum Senior Programmers:

Substantial financial market trading experience.
Good knowledge of Programming languages (VBA, C++ etc.)
